Worn out with love...

Asher's beloved blanket got a little rip in the center yesterday. When he woke up this morning it was ripped almost in half. Asher was quite happy about it because he could jump through the middle of bah bah. He thought it was great. He has no idea that it means someday bah bah will waste away to nothing at all. So sad.
(As I looked through the recent pictures of Asher I noticed that as we said "hello" to underpants we also said "goodbye" to pants. Sorry about all the pants-less pictures lately.)
This is where the bond between Asher and Bah Bah all began 2 1/2 years ago.

"Jeremy, I gotta show you something in my room!"

It's been so fun to have my brother come visit every once in a while when he's in Salt Lake. The boys love it when he is here. They like to show him all their tricks and everything in their room.

Thanks for hanging out with us Jeremy, and thanks for thinking my kids are funny!

snow.

I told the boys to look out the window for a surprise this morning. They did and then we talked about snow for a while. What color it is, is it cold or hot, where it comes from, what it's covering, and if it's fun to stomp in when we have our boots on. After all that Asher said "But Mom, it looks really messy. Will you go clean it up please?" I wish I could!

All snuggly and ready to go...

The boys before our walk. We really enjoyed the unusually warm November days. (Oh, how I'll miss you!)

Lovely sunset the other night...

Just amazing.

Welcome home Uncle Lance...

Asher was really excited to see his Uncle Lance again after two years of serving a mission. He decorated this sign all by himself.
Still waiting at the airport for Lance. Caleb just wanted the balloons.
Caleb and Uncle Rex... still waiting.
Lance is home! Hugging Mom.
Hugging Dad.
Asher telling him all about the sign.
Meeting Caleb for the first time! So sweet. We're so glad you're home safe and sound Lance. We missed you!
Then we picked up his luggage and the real fun (for the boys) started. Caleb was having so much fun riding on the suitcase.
Look at that smile.
It didn't take long for Asher to get in on the action.
Welcome home Lance! We love you and your luggage.

Just hanging around...

The boys are so cute when they just hang out together. They love to find cool places like under the desk to make their secret fort.

This morning at breakfast I let out a little sigh. Asher said "Don't worry Mom. Just stay calm and think." Good advice kid. He's too funny.

What'd we do today?

First some quality time on the couch on a sunny November day with my brother.
Then, some silly faces...
some spralling...
some toys...
some kissable cheeks...
and some books.

November 16th = success.

The next 3 posts were also from today. It was an extremely busy, boring day. Did you know that was possible?!

Caleb loves to look out the window...

I have the broken blinds and stained curtains to prove it.

Today was pretty hilarious...

Today was kind of a day. You know what I mean. We didn't get much done. Asher was in his pajama's all day. I was in my exercise clothes all day. Caleb just toddled around all day. I kept thinking "What is different today?" I think it was just a great brothers day. The boys get along well, but are still a little young to really play together, so usually I referee. But, today they were buddies. We weren't totally free of nudging or tantrums, but it was better. We just did fun things all day, like:
Looked for monsters under the couch and debated who should go under to get them. *Notice the missing sock on Asher. He accidentally dropped a raspberry during breakfast then stepped on it when he was getting down to pick it up. He wanted the dirty sock off, but the clean sock on. Cracks me up.
We did a few yoga poses, Caleb is a natural.
Even though it was a good, low key, silly day I was a little low on patience and energy towards the end. Some times it's hard to answer the same question 13 thousand times a day. It was great to have Justin get home and entertain for a while. ("..But the farmer goes..." anybody remember that game?)

Thanks for your help today too Cheri! You made my day worry free on a few different levels.
