Asher's first haircut!!!

Wow, we did it! I was so nervous to cut Asher's hair. I was too sad that he was going to look like a big boy and wouldn't be my baby anymore. But as you can see his comb-over was getting a little out of control. Before picture #1.
And what can I say about the back... Before picture #2.
Yes, he cried the whole time! It was heartbreaking!! Look how sad he is...and they haven't even started yet.
Even though he was screaming the whole time he sat really still and did a great job (as long as he was touching me).
So sad!!
Still crying...
All done, but still offended that we just did that. And, of course they spiked it.
Much happier now that we left that place!
What a cute boy! After picture #1.
After picture #2.

Yeah!!

We are so excited to be feeling better finally! Poor Asher had a really bad cold and is getting three molars, so he's had a rough few weeks. I am so thankful to be over my pneumonia!!
It sure is hard to be sick. We are so glad it's over.

Now that we were feeling better we went to the Children's Museum again. This is Asher with his little friend Jane. I love watching them play together!

Happy Birhtday Asher!!

As the last post mentioned, Abby and Asher have been really sick the last little while. I had a little time so I thought I'd post some pictures from Asher's birthday party since Abby hasn't felt so great. So we did celebrate, and it was really fun. Just a little family party, thanks everyone who came to celebrate with us!

Here's the birthday boy on his birthday, completing the "Year of Asher" collage. I can't believe we have 12 pictures in th
at frame now...the year has gone by so fast!

Asher was getting a little cranky (he missed his nap), and he was starting to feel sick. He didn't so much care for his cake; the previous two factors combined with the fact that he doesn't like gooey stuff on his hands made it so he didn't much like the experience. We neglected to bring a bib of any kind so we took his shirt off to avoid any major messes.

I think next time we'll just give him cake without frosting, but Abby did a great job decorating all the same (and thanks for helping with the baking, Lisa)!

He did get a lot of fun presents from everyone, and it seemed
he liked opening them!

He likes balloons, so we just filled up some balloons for him and the other kids to play with.

Looks like cousin Andy had his share of fun with the balloons!

Thanks again everyone for coming to celebrate with us and for the wonderful gifts. Asher has really liked them all. I think his favorite is the stacking toys that turn into balls from Andy and Lily.

This is the day after the party while Asher was playing with all his new toys. Even though he was really sick he was having fun!

We've been sick...

Asher and I have been sick with nasty colds for about a week. Asher's little nose was so sore and chapped it was bleeding, but other than that he has been his fun and happy self.

I, on the other hand, am not so cheerful when I feel so horrible. I was lucky enough to get the runny nose, sore throat, cough, headache, sore muscles, and chills. We're blessed that Justin hasn't caught it yet, and we're praying that he doesn't with finals and his internship coming up soon.

Sorry if we gave this to any of you!

Wobbly World...

Asher started walking on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. It's so funny how it seems to happen over night. I think he's loving the new found freedom, and I love to watch his little legs wobble! Enjoy.

Another great day...

...at the Children's Museum! Now that Asher can walk his world at the Children's Museum just got a whole lot bigger.

This time Asher was interested in some of the "bigger kid" activities as well as his regulars.

He loved this water exhibit (and he only sucked the water off his fingers a few times...).

He also really liked these BIG blocks...and knocking them down, of course.

And isn't he the most adorable Fire Chief in the whole world?!

This picture is dedicated to Uncle Peter!

Baby sleep habits...

When we put Asher to bed he likes to pull the blanket up over his head...
...but, by morning he usually ends up with his little backside in the air. Funny baby!
