My favorite thing to do...

One thing that I LOVE to do is spread out blankets and play in the sun beams that flood through our windows in the morning. I loved it with Asher and I love it with Caleb.
I can't get enough of those forehead wrinkles!

Seriously?! Is there anything cuter?
Have a good morning. We sure did.

Better late than never?

Now, this is embarrassing. The day we blessed Caleb I forgot to take any pictures of him. That night I left his blessing outfit out so that I would put him in it and take a picture the next day. Well, over four months later here it is. His chubby legs barely fit through the leg holes, but he didn't seem to mind.

Caleb's turn...

The other day Justin said something like "Remember when you were pregnant and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to love another one as much as Asher? Well, it's not a problem!" We love our little Caleb so much! He is soooooooooo smiley. He loves to jump, sing our goodnight song, clap, slobber on my face, snatch Asher's toys, make me laugh, army crawl all over the house, snuggle his silky blanket, play with daddy, and be the cutest little guy on the block. He is 8 months old and has such a fun, happy, easy going personality.

This is Caleb with Cecil. No, it's really Asher's potty duck, but every time I send him flying through the air to land hard and quack for my toddlers enjoyment I think of my old friend Kay and her old friend Cecil.

Grandparents are the best...

This is Asher with his Grandma and Grandpa Carrier right after we dropped Uncle Spencer off at the MTC. I think Honey and Papa, and Grandma and Grandpa are who Asher talks about the most. Well, maybe second. Lightning and Mater are first of course.

Happy 2nd Birthday

Asher turned 2 a few weeks ago! I can't believe it! Oh, I love him so much. It was fun for me and Justin to take him to breakfast all by himself. Then we had a fun day with Grandma, Grandpa, Honey, Papa, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Thanks everyone.

For a few days before his birthday I started to ask him how old he was going to be. When I would say "Are you going to be two?" he would say "No mom! Three." Nope. Sorry, bud. I'm not going to let you grow up any faster than you already are! He makes my life so wonderful!

"big rabbit"

We were in a store the other day and Asher started pulling on me and saying "Go see big rabbit". I hadn't even noticed this display they had set up with the Easter bunny so little kids could have their picture taken with it. No one was there so I let Asher go say hi to the rabbit. He loved it. Hopped right up on his lap and gave him a big hug. Asher loves life-sized, dressed-up characters like this. He would really love Disneyland! Very much unlike his mother. Anyway, I was not about to pay for anything this disturbing, but I had my camera in my purse so they let me just take my own picture.

34 and counting...

Asher lined up all his cars one morning. He did a great job and made sure they were all facing the same way. He is very particular about that! He has so many cars already, but still gets so excited when he gets another one. And, I wasn't kidding about that smile.

Taking matters into his own hands...

Well, it seems as though I was not getting Asher's dinner ready fast enough. I left the room to take care of something or someone (who knows...) and when I came back Asher was taking over where I had left off grating the cheese. Only not much made it into the bowl. Toddler independence here we come!

oh boy!

This is Asher on the ride home from Honey and Papa's house one night.
Justin carried him in and put him in his bed and then he got all situated again. He knows how he likes it that's for sure.

Meet Asher's new smile...

Now every time there is a camera pointed at Asher he says"Cheeeeeeese" and gives me this funny smile!

I love it...

Asher went through a boot stage. He loved to wear them all the time, including during his nap! I can't really blame him. Those are some high quality, hand-me-down Elmo moon boots.

Feeding the Ducks at Sugarhouse park...

A friend of mine invited us to go with them to feed the ducks one afternoon. This is Asher and Jane deciding how they feel about everything.
I was laughing pretty hard at Asher. He wasn't "feeding" as much as "force feeding" the poor geese. He would grab a handful of bread, chuck it at them and yell "EAT YOUR SANDWICH DUCKS!" Maybe still a little too energetic to be that close to real animals?

Another free Zoo Day...

Stacy and I went to Free Zoo Day again this year. This time we both had two boys and Stacy's niece came along too. What a fun group of little kid-o's!
Out of everything you get to see at the Zoo Asher liked the grates on the ground the very best. What a silly boy!
Asher saying hi to the beautiful Owl.
Then Stacy took the big kids on the train while I sat with the babies. It really was a fun day that went remarkably well with that many toddlers!
My sweet Caleb just enjoyed being out side in the nice weather.

Snowboarding with my best friend...

We got to go snowboarding this year. It was really fun to be with Justin all day long!

Oooo, don't I look serious. Seriously trying to figure out how to talk Justin into staying on the little bitty hills all day.

Well, I've turned into a pretty big chicken since I had kids, so I'm sure I wasn't the most adventurous snowboarding partner, but I had fun, and it sure was a beautiful day! Thanks so much to all the people that babysat our boys and also those that let us use their snow gear!

Ash...

I was wondering when Asher would get so tired he would just fall asleep where ever he was playing. I think it's only happened once or twice. What a sweetie!
My Aunt knitted me this beautiful winter hat and Asher wanted to wear it. I thought he looked like an adorable little Rastafarian.

Asher the Photog...

Asher's been working on his photography skills. He loves to do whatever he sees us doing, and I love to watch him try new things!

Playing in the snow...

This was back when the snow was fun and exciting. Now all we want is warm weather!

It doesn't take long for little boys to figure out that it's fun to eat the snow. They sure had fun.

That explains it...

Asher's favorite blanket used to be full of stuffing. Little by little it was getting thinner and I would find little pieces here and there. I knew he liked to pull it out but I wondered what he did with it. Then one day we moved his crib and hit the jackpot.

Are you ready for an update?

Hi everyone! Well, I guess two months is long enough to deprive you from pictures of my boys :) We've been having fun, learning, and growing. It sure takes a lot of time to care for two little guys, so posting pictures just dropped off my To Do list I guess. But, I've been saving up the pictures and stories, so don't worry! I still kind of feel like I'm a few months behind on everything I want to do or people I want to talk to. I've had such nice notes and emails from friends, family, roommates, and neighbors. Thank you, thank you, thank you and sorry if I haven't responded yet!

Okay, let's see if I remember how to do this...
