I love it...

Asher went through a boot stage. He loved to wear them all the time, including during his nap! I can't really blame him. Those are some high quality, hand-me-down Elmo moon boots. 

Feeding the Ducks at Sugarhouse park...

A friend of mine invited us to go with them to feed the ducks one afternoon. This is Asher and Jane deciding how they feel about everything.

I was laughing pretty hard at Asher. He wasn't "feeding" as much as "force feeding" the poor geese. He would grab a handful of bread, chuck it at them and yell "EAT YOUR SANDWICH DUCKS!" Maybe still a little too energetic to be that close to real animals?

Another free Zoo Day...

Stacy and I went to Free Zoo Day again this year. This time we both had two boys and Stacy's niece came along too. What a fun group of little kid-o's!

Out of everything you get to see at the Zoo Asher liked the grates on the ground the very best. What a silly boy!

Then Stacy took the big kids on the train while I sat with the babies. It really was a fun day that went remarkably well with that many toddlers! 

My sweet Caleb just enjoyed being out side in the nice weather.

Snowboarding with my best friend...

We got to go snowboarding this year. It was really fun to be with Justin all day long!

Oooo, don't I look serious. Seriously trying to figure out how to talk Justin into staying on the little bitty hills all day.

Well, I've turned into a pretty big chicken since I had kids, so I'm sure I wasn't the most adventurous snowboarding partner, but I had fun, and it sure was a beautiful day! Thanks so much to all the people that babysat our boys and also those that let us use their snow gear!

Ash...

I was wondering when Asher would get so tired he would just fall asleep where ever he was playing. I think it's only happened once or twice. What a sweetie!

My Aunt knitted me this beautiful winter hat and Asher wanted to wear it. I thought he looked like an adorable little Rastafarian.

Asher's been working on his photography skills. He loves to do whatever he sees us doing, and I love to watch him try new things!

Playing in the snow...

This was back when the snow was fun and exciting. Now all we want is warm weather!

It doesn't take long for little boys to figure out that it's fun to eat the snow. They sure had fun.

That explains it...

Asher's favorite blanket used to be full of stuffing. Little by little it was getting thinner and I would find little pieces here and there. I knew he liked to pull it out but I wondered what he did with it. Then one day we moved his crib and hit the jackpot.

Are you ready for an update?

Hi everyone! Well, I guess two months is long enough to deprive you from pictures of my boys :) We've been having fun, learning, and growing. It sure takes a lot of time to care for two little guys, so posting pictures just dropped off my To Do list I guess. But, I've been saving up the pictures and stories, so don't worry! I still kind of feel like I'm a few months behind on everything I want to do or people I want to talk to. I've had such nice notes and emails from friends, family, roommates, and neighbors. Thank you, thank you, thank you and sorry if I haven't responded yet!

Sometimes I try to get pictures like this...(sitting together, looking at the camera, in a perfect world they would be smiling) but it's not always true to our lives...
Now that's more like it! Every night I pray and thank my Father in Heaven that Caleb is quite tough and that Asher is quite kind. It's the only combination that would work around here! I have lots of fun pictures of the boys and even some of me and Justin to post but I will probably do it later tonight (no promises). Right now I am going to join the boys on the last part of their afternoon nap. 

But first a story... today after Asher tried a sip of some Mexican soda that was carbonated he shook his head, made a silly face and said "Tickle juice... yum!"

One of my Top 10...

Sleeping babies! That is one of my top 10 FAVORITE things. There is nothing better, except maybe a freshly bathed sleeping baby. Oh, they are so sweet and peaceful. Just watching my babies sleep makes me feel more peace also. I love to look at their delicate eyelids and their itsy bitsy profile that I sometimes can't help from touching! I absolutely love the funny positions that they somehow find, and it's fantastic when they wake up happy and refreshed. 

My little guys are champion sleepers and I am so thankful. I've learned a lot from the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth. Healthy sleep is such a key factor in our over all well being that I am trying to give them a gift of good sleep habits from an early age. So that they can learn and grow at their full potential. It's required some work and I'm sure it won't always be this easy, but I am glad that this is one of our goals. 

This is Caleb sleeping during his morning nap. I think he has now officially outgrown the desire to be swaddled while he sleeps. He also started to really like rubbing that silky blue blanket on is face while he goes to sleep. It's adorable.


Then there's Asher. He is a fantastic sleeper, but the last few mornings he has had a little surprise for us when we go in to get him in the morning. His favorite blanky has a REALLY big rip in it now, but it's just made him love it more. Now he finds the huge hole and sticks his whole arm in. The problem is that through the night it gets all twisted around his wrist and is pretty stuck by morning. Pretty hilarious as you can see from the pictures!

Caleb and Lincoln...

About three weeks apart in age and both as awesome as can be! I think they will be buddies. Thanks for letting us come the other day. We had a great time!

Caleb bit me...

Well, Asher was trying to share his snacks with Caleb. I told him that Caleb is still too little to eat fish crackers, but Asher still kept pretending to feed them to him. Caleb doesn't have any teeth so it wasn't hurting Asher at all, but after we saw these pictures it reminded us of the hilarious "Charlie bit my finger" video. Enjoy.

Brothers...

Caleb likes Asher's blanket, Bah-Bah, but it's the one things that Asher REALLY doesn't like to share.

Asher was having his snack on the couch and I put Caleb next to him. I went to go get the camera and when I turned back around they were holding hands!

I just really love how much the boys are interacting these days!

These pictures make me happy. I love seeing Asher having fun being a little artist! Justin printed him some pictures of the characters from The Backyardigans, our favorite kid show. He did a great job coloring them. He loves them so much he even had to take Tasha to bed with him that night.

Little brothers are the best...

Asher is great at helping Caleb when he is sad.

But he really likes to play silly games and make his little brother laugh!

"Stickies"

Asher's great aunt gave him lots of stickers aka "stickies" and he has found some pretty fun things to do with them. His favorite of which is to stick them all over Caleb. I though it was pretty smart because the first time he was putting one on Caleb I asked him "which one goes on Caleb?" and he said "Guido Baby." Guido is the smallest car in the Movie CARS and Caleb is the smallest baby in our family so we thought it fit pretty well.
He also put them on his fingers and said that he had "Bandaid owies!"
